Maynooth - Kilkenny

Meet your Travel Director at Carton House Hotel where you will enjoy afternoon tea with your fellow travellers before departure. Continue to the medieval town of Kilkenny. Known as the Marble City, take a stroll on
Kilkenny's medieval mile, which is a trail that links Kilkenny Castle to St. Canice's Cathedral and filled with shops, pubs, restaurants and picturesque alleyways. 3 Course dinner with tea/coffee and wine is included tonight at The Hound at Hunter's Yard Mount Juliet Estate.

Day 2: 12 April 2021

Kilkenny - Killarney

Start your day in historical Cashel famous for its medieval buildings. Visit the spectacular Rock of Cashel also known as St. Patrick's Rock, the traditional seat of the High Kings of Munster. Continue to Blarney Castle where you have the option to climb to the ramparts and kiss the magical stone to ensure a lifetime of eloquence. Day 3: 13 April 2021

Killarney National Park & Ring of Kerry

Return to Killarney and take a scenic jaunting carriage ride through Killarney National Park.

Majestic Ashford Castle

As part of The Travel Corporation (TTC), we’ve worked closely with theWorld Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and the World

Health Organisation (WHO) to guide and co-create the “New Normal Safe and Seamless Traveller Journey” global protocols.

Hygiene protocols and distancing

Pre-Trip Health Declaration

All team members and guests will complete a personal well-being declaration before joining

their trip. If a guest has tested positive for COVID-19 (or is travelling with someone who has),

they will not be able to join the trip until cleared as “fitfor travel” by a medical professional.

Sanitised Surfaces

All frequently touched surfaces inside the coach — including handrails, doors, tables, overhead lockers

— plus guests luggage handles, will be disinfected multiple times each day.

Air Filters

Our coaches are equipped with air filters that are inspected and cleaned daily and replaced regularly.

The on-board filters help purify the air as you travel. 

Quality Assurance

The Well-being Director is responsible for the quality assurance of all hotels, restaurants and

other venues guests visit during each journey. Quality checks will ensure that all travel partners

meet local regulations and the established TTC, WTTC and WHO well-being protocols.

Hygiene Equipment

Hand sanitiser is accessible and freely available. We ask that guests bring their own face mask and

gloves, but in the case of emergency, personal protective equipment will be distributed to them.

Smaller Groups - More Personal space

With smaller groups, guests benefit from more personal space, and our uniquely reconfigured

coaches offer twice as much space for each traveller.

Priority access

With priority access at landmark sites, guests skip the queues and have greater opportunity to

maintain their physical distance while sightseeing.

24/7 Incident Response

Always up-to-date

Our teams are always up to date and continue to adjust to the changing regulations from

health authorities and local governments. They make changes behind the scenes so guests are

able to enjoy their trip.

Incident Response Protocol

Should an incident arise on trip, rest assured that we have protocols in place. We will direct

distancing and coordinate with local medical support and testing. We will liaise with local

authorities to follow directives, which will vary across countries, and step of the way.

On Trip Arrival and Welcome

We will be adapting arrival times to ease congestion between groups at the beginning of trips so that your

Travel Director or Travelling Concierge can conduct a welcome briefing, covering what can be expected on your vacation and well-being precautions.

Travel Directors and Travelling Concierges will submit a Self-Health Declaration prior to the trip as well as post

trip. Our industry leading training has been adapted and enhanced to include a dedicated module on dealing with

Covid-19.

• Symptoms of COVID-19 and identifying potentially unwell guests
• Effective personal hygiene and sanitization techniques for infection prevention
• Effective use of PPE (personal protection equipment)
• Appropriate physical distancing protocols
• Preventative measures to ensure your well-being
• Protocols in the event of a suspected COVID-19 case

Your Travel Director or Travelling Concierges will:

• Ensure hand sanitizer and masks are used in compliance with local regulations
• Provide guidance about physical distancing
• Be vigilant for any signs guests are unwell and ensure rapid implementation of protocols
• Ensure the safe handling of payments
• Have the authority to alter timings to avoid congested areas

To provide you additional personal support and assistance when you travel with us, our Travel Directors and

Travelling Concierges will be supported by a specially trained and dedicated Well-being Director on every

journey with over 20 guests.

 In this new, fast changing COVID-19 era, we have implemented elevated hygiene and distancing practices to meet new requirements put forth by local governments and health authorities, including the World Health Organization
